How we research & update

Honest about our process: research from official and operator sources, automated checks before publishing, and corrections when readers flag them.

Last reviewed: October 2026

Where our information comes from

Entry and visa rules come from official immigration bodies — Singapore's ICA, Malaysia's immigration department and MDAC, Indonesian immigration, and the relevant authority for each destination. Checkpoint and driving information comes from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and ICA. Fares, schedules and terminals come from the ferry, coach and airline operators themselves. Each page lists its sources and the date each figure was valid.

How pages are produced

Our content is produced by an automated research-and-writing pipeline and reviewed by automated checks (source presence, figure formatting, internal-link validity, length limits) before publishing. We are telling you this plainly: a human does not hand-review every single page. We do not publish a fare or rule that is not tied to a cited source.

How often we update

Entry rules are checked when the authority announces a change. Fares and schedules are reviewed roughly monthly and are always marked indicative and dated. Seasonal guides are refreshed ahead of each school-holiday and long-weekend period. The "Updated" date on each page reflects its last change.

Corrections

Found an error, a stale fare or an out-of-date rule? Email [email protected] and we will check it against the source and fix it. See our Corrections policy.
